A team of managers co-manages the Marsico Global Fund. The lead members of the team include Cory Gilchrist, Tom Marsico, and Jim Gendelman. Information relating to these team members is provided below.
Cory Gilchrist, Chartered Financial Analyst, is the portfolio manager of the Marsico 21st Century Fund and a co-manager of the Marsico Global Fund. Prior to joining Marsico Capital Management, LLC ("Marsico Capital") in May of 2000, Cory spent four years as an international portfolio manager and analyst at The Principal Financial Group (Invista Capital Management), where he served on a committee that managed several international equity funds. He holds BBA and MBA degrees from the University of Iowa, and is a CFA charter holder.
Tom Marsico is the founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer of Marsico Capital, which has served as the investment adviser to the Marsico Funds since 1997. Tom sets Marsico Capital's overall research and investment strategy and is the co-manager of the Marsico Focus Fund, the Marsico Growth Fund, and the Marsico Global Fund. He has over 25 years of experience as a securities analyst and a portfolio manager. Tom's extensive background in rigorous securities analysis led him to recruit and train Marsico Capital's multitalented investment team. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado and holds an MBA from the University of Denver.
Jim Gendelman is the portfolio manager for the Marsico International Opportunities Fund and a co-manager of the Marsico Global Fund. Prior to joining Marsico Capital in May 2000, Jim was a Vice President of International Sales at Goldman Sachs. A former CPA with Ernst & Young, Jim holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
